Three acanthus leaves and pen testing marks

This torn scrap, evidently used as scratch paper, gives us a vivid impression of working practices in the workshop. The heavy strokes above the rapidly sketched acanthus leaves were made with the dull edge of the nub of chalk, probably to sharpen it to an optimal point. The fragment originally formed part of a larger drawing along with IX 5159-35-32-1v.
