Album 1, Leaf 17

The two large drawings on this leaf show floriated ornament found on soffits, the visible undersides of construction elements, in the case of the drawings here usually the visible undersides of architraves. The semi-circular ends on the right-hand drawing indicate the outline of columns that once bordered the relief.
