Album 2, Leaf 33

The last used leaf in the album has a surprise in store for the viewer: two architectural fantasies –capricci – by Piranesi himself. For us today, these rank among the highlights of the Karlsruhe Piranesi drawings, but for Weinbrenner they were evidently of mere secondary importance while compiling the albums.
