Album 2, Leaf 27

This leaf contains counterproofs worked-up in red chalk after transfer, as well as one counterproof impression of a black-chalk drawing (lower right) that was not subsequently worked-up and is thus fainter than the rest. It displays the characteristic features of a mechanical copy: besides faintness, there is a noticeable evenness in the pressure of the lines.
