Prancing between rich garlands of fruit and overflowing cornucopias is Cupid, god of love. The fissures in the ancient relief have been recorded in coarse black lines over the drawing. The cornucopia on the left has only been sketchily outlined – as the mirror image to the one already depicted on the right, for workshop purposes it did not need to be shown in full.
